After returning from the Hanger Education Fair in Las Vegas, Nevada, The O&P EDGE  crew headed to Orlando, Florida, for the 39th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy). We love these meetings! Going to conferences gives us the opportunity to talk face to face with our readers and clients about what they need to help them do their jobs better and grow their businesses. One of the things we've learned over the years is that while practitioners want to attend national meetings—and need to in order to obtain continuing education units (CEUs)—they cannot always afford to attend meetings regularly. It's not simply a matter of travel costs, it's also the associated cost of closing their doors to patients. While webinars are slowly catching on as a supplement, practitioners still refer to industry magazines and websites for information about continuing education opportunities. The O&P EDGE  is excited to announce the pilot of a new, convenient continuing education opportunity—EDGE Quick Credit.

We are working with ABC, BOC, and the Academy's Paul E. Leimkuehler Online Learning Center (OLC) to help our advertisers provide you with one- to two-credit continuing education opportunities on products advertised in The O&P EDGE.

When you come across any display ad in your print copy of The O&P EDGE  with the EDGE Quick Credit logo, you can go to the link provided or scan the QR code any time within 60 days of the issue date to get CEUs for that advertised product in the comfort of your office or home. You will be provided with the education materials and then take a test consisting of a minimum of ten multiple-choice questions. You must pass with a grade of 80 percent or above to obtain your credit(s). Manufacturers will be given your information to follow up with you. Courses will be designed to be fast and affordable.

EDGE Quick Credit courses will be another great way to supplement the education you receive at local, regional, and national O&P meetings and conferences so that you can provide your patients with the best device solutions for their functional needs.
