Adaptive Knee Available at PEL

The Adaptive^TM Knee is the first knee to combine the power and stability of hydraulics with the natural comfort of pneumatics. This enables the knee to respond to the amputees body movements as well as to the terrain. A single-axis knee with a stance-flexion, the Adaptive has microprocessor-controlled stance and swing phases. It analyzes data 62.5 times per second to adjust control based on actual gait analysis. The Adaptive Knee can be programmed for stumble recovery, stairs, slopes, ramps and variable walking speeds. It allows the amputee to wear any existing foot and/or socket designs. A standard and a shock & torsion pylon are included with every knee.
