Prosthetic Smart Socket Technology to Improve Patient Interaction, Usability, Comfort, Fit, and Function
There is no cost to participate in this study. Subjects can receive up to $500 for their participation and the benefit of an Alps iForce. The prosthetist will receive the prosthesis at no cost. This includes a Variflex foot, a finished flex interface graphite frame socket, iForce, two liners, two suspension sleeves, and 12 socks. Spend four quarters (12 months) in mentored practicum at NUPOC, building P&O skills by working with people who have neuromusculoskeletal impairments. NUPOC graduates are eligible for NCOPE residencies and P&O certification examinations. The NUPOC MPO prepares you to become a proficient clinician, deliver comprehensive P&O services, integrate research into clinical practice, and contribute to the P&O profession.
